Riyadh Air (RX), headquartered in the Saudi Capital, is the new national airline that's shaping the future of flying. It seeks to lead the aviation industry by transforming Saudi Arabia into a global aviation and trade hub – a digitally native airline that will connect the kingdom to more than 100 destinations.
You will oversee the production, customization, and delivery of Riyadh Air's new wide-body Boeing/Airbus aircraft, ensuring every aircraft meets our exacting technical specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. You'll be on-site at manufacturer facilities, conducting inspections during critical production stages, resolving technical challenges in real-time, and overseeing acceptance processes including ground and flight tests.
In this role, you will own the technical integrity of our aircraft from the production line to operational readiness. You'll manage heavy maintenance events, finalize maintenance plans with internal stakeholders, and act as our technical representative during critical checks, monitoring execution against workscope, SLAs, turnaround times, and budgets. When required, you'll also manage the technical aspects of aircraft leasing and returns, ensuring compliance with lease agreements and protecting Riyadh Air's contractual interests.
You can expect to serve as the crucial technical liaison between Riyadh Air, lessors, manufacturers, and regulatory authorities like GACA. You'll coordinate aircraft registration, Certificate of Airworthiness issuance, and ensure every activity, from production to heavy maintenance to lease transitions, adheres to the highest aviation standards.
This is a high-impact role where your technical expertise and project management skills will directly contribute to building Riyadh Air's fleet and operational excellence. Be prepared for international travel to manufacturing sites and the flexibility to work across time zones as you help us launch the future of Saudi aviation.
You will hold a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or possess an AME License, with a preference for B787 certification. With a minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in aircraft production, maintenance oversight, and end-to-end delivery processes, you bring deep expertise in both new and leased aircraft operations.
You are expected to demonstrate strong understanding of aircraft manufacturing processes, production oversight, and quality assurance, ideally with hands-on experience on wide-body aircraft. Your in-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, avionics, propulsion, electrical, hydraulic, and structural, enables you to interpret complex engineering documentation and make sound technical decisions under pressure.
We'd love to hear from you even more if you possess proven experience managing heavy maintenance checks and modifications in compliance with regulatory standards, comprehensive knowledge of aviation regulations (GACA, EASA, FAA), and expertise in airworthiness certification processes. A valid license on the B787-9 is required for this position.
This is your opportunity to build something extraordinary from the beginning. If you're a problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments, values accountability, and can balance safety, cost, and timelines while maintaining the highest technical standards, we want to hear from you.
